Arctic regions are the first to take a beating from climate change; the Arctic actually warms twice as fast as the rest of the world. The Alaskan tundra is one of the most unique features of the beautiful state, but worsening climate change is significantly changing its ecosystem. As the region’s permafrost continues to thaw out, more carbon is emitted and the infrastructure of Alaska’s wilderness will likely collapse.
