America’s 17 Most Beautiful National Parks Ranked

By  |

#1 Yosemite

Yosemite National Park is ranked first on our list for a multitude of reasons. The park is popular for its ancient giant sequoias, grand waterfalls, and 1,200 square miles of wilderness, but we find it most beautiful for the inspiring story it carries. Yosemite has long been a haven for the first major rock climbers and all the legends who have followed suit. The famous El Capitan is an icon in the extreme sports world where climbers have triumphed above and beyond their predecessors. BASE jumpers have paved the way for life-changing and innovative exploration. Today it carries much more than natural beauty, but it also carries a deep emotional weight that is incomparable to any other national park.
