Top 20 Caribbean Hikes
By Kate Wilke |
Mont Pelee, Martinique
Once you’ve drummed up enough courage to hike La Soufriere, head to Martinique to climb arguably the second or third deadliest volcano in the world. In 1902, Mont Pelee destroyed the village of St. Pierre, only leaving two survivors. Try the Desiles hike for an exciting nine-hour hike, or simply do the two-hour La Grande Savane if your top priority is to see the crater and get out fast.
