Top 20 Caribbean Hikes
Main Ridge Forest Reserve, Tobago
Tobago has the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere, so any hike on this island is a spectacular choice. The Main Ridge Forest Reserve spreads along the mountain’s spine, about two-thirds of the entire island. This reserve is home to sixteen mammal species, twenty-four non-poisonous snakes, sixteen lizards, and a gecko not found anywhere else in the world. Tobago also hosts 230 species of birds, twenty-five of which are only found here.
