This 3,972-foot volcano used to be named Mt. Misery, if that gives you any idea what this hike is like. Your two-hour ascent begins in the rainforest with beautiful mango and ficus trees. This scenic journey upward does not amount to the memorable view at the top—a half-mile wide volcanic crater 700 feet below.
