The depth change is extreme off the Esperance coast, resulting in waves with the heaviest, thickest lips in the world. Rarely surfed at all, Cyclops can only be reached by boat. The waves crash into razor sharp coral, so heavy they engulf themselves. Many of the waves produced are ugly, and finding the spot is difficult enough without then having to then make the drop.

Combine the unnatural, difficult waves with the incredibly shallow reef, and you begin to understand why Cyclops is the least surfed wave on this list.
