Most Beautiful Rainforests in the World
By Landry Harper |
Congo Basin Rainforest
Covering six countries in western equatorial Africa, the Congo Basin Rainforest is the second largest rainforest in the world. Along with the dwindling Amazon rainforest, this eco-system is a huge factor in the oxygen turnover of our planet. Despite having such a huge job in taking care of the environment, the Congo Basin Rainforest is one of the most beautiful in the world. 70% of the vegetation of the African Continent can be found here. This includes around 600 species of trees! There are also over 10,000 types of animal life to be found here.
