Some people think Huskies are too difficult to train solo to be a great hiking partner, but we wholeheartedly disagree. They aren’t quite as trainable as your average lab, by any means, but they’re smart and loyal enough that you shouldn’t have problems. Like the Bernese Mountain Dog, you can train your Husky to carry some supplies with him, and he loves colder weather just fine. He won’t do well in extreme heat, though.
