22 Most Dangerous Hiking Trails Ranked

#6 Bright Angel Trail, Arizona

Due to the increasing amount of deaths on this 9.5-mile round-trip trail, a scouting crew was created to help troubled hikers. The first half of the trail isn’t too bad, which is misleading for many hikers since the return trip is mostly uphill. The canyon traps heat, leaving hikers in temperatures of 110 degrees. About 200 heat-related rescues occur annually.
