22 Most Dangerous Hiking Trails Ranked

By  |

#20 Longs Peak, Colorado

Consider this the most challenging route on a 14er. On average, one person loses his or her life on this trail. High exposure, slippery rocks, lightning, and steep ledges are several of the threats that you’ll face along the way. Famous mountaineer Agnes Vaille fell 150 feet down a rock field and survived, but due to exhaustion she took a nap after and then froze to death.
