While the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu takes a few casualties each year, it’s the Huayna Picchu, “Hike of Death,” that poses the greatest threat. The trail elevates a thousand feet in less than a mile. Rotting and crumbling rock are just a couple of obstacles you’re sure to face should you take this route.
