Glacier National Park will soon be Glacier-less National ParkThe very natural wonders that made the park famous are quickly vanishing. When Glacier National Park was founded in 1910, there were about 150 glaciers. Now there are only 25, and by 2030 scientists predict that Glacier National Park will not have any glaciers at all.

The park covers a million acres and is home to elk, mountain goats, grizzly bears, and wolves. The loss of all glaciers would drastically affect the ecosystem, most importantly because the glaciers serve as a reserve of water for the park during summer months. The temperature in the park will rise, causing local aquatic organisms that are sensitive to temperature change to go extinct.
