Adding too much cheese

This is very difficult for us to admit, because our stomachs say there is never a situation that justifies the words “too much cheese.” Our waists, however, disagree. We’re not going to tell you not to add cheese to your salad, but we will suggest being light handed with it.

When do you do go to add cheese, feta and shaved Swiss are two great options, but so is part-skim milk mozzarella. Those three are among the healthiest cheeses around. Cheddar and blue cheese, two favorites for salad lovers, are a touch higher in calories and the wrong kinds of fat, so it might be best to steer away from these.
