Have you ever looked at the calorie and fat count on that bottle of ranch dressing? Go ahead, look and see. Surprised? You could be adding hundreds of calories to an otherwise healthy salad. Ranch, blue cheese, French and Thousand Island dressings should all be outlawed if you’re watching your figure.

Look for minimal ingredient vinaigrettes instead. These will be both lower in fat and lower in carbs. Heck, you can make your own very easily, which will beat anything found in your average supermarket.
